Epic have rolled out the 7.30 update to Fortnite: Battle Royale, adding snowman-flavoured chiller grenades, mobile controller support, Solid Gold LTM and vaulting four weapons - bolt-action snipers, burst rifles, SMG and heavy shotguns.
Chiller grenades affect allies, enemies and vehicles alike, applying a 7-second slip-fest, which simply can't not be hilarious. Well, most of the time at least.
Fortnite's new grenades are common rarity items that drop in stacks of 3, with a maximum stack size of 6. You can find them in floor loot and vending machines.
Epic decided to vault as many as four guns, which, if I remember correctly, is the biggest exodus of Fortnite's weaponry so far. Bolt-action snipers, burst rifles, heavy shotguns and common, uncommon and rare variants of the SMG are all getting the boot.
The company compensated by bringing back the suppressed SMG in common, uncommon and rare variants. Obviously, the team are seriously upping Fortnite's sneak game here, which should go well with the aforementioned sneaky snowmen.
Fortnite's mobile fans received some love too, with the game's mobile controller support now including most of Android-supporting Bluetooth controller adapters, MFi controllers on iOS and disabled phone vibration when gamepads are attached.
Epic are rolling out 60Hz support on select Android devices as well, the list of which at the moment includes only three phones - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (USA variant), Huawei Honor View 20 and Huawei Mate 20 X.
As usual, the 7.30 update brings a bunch of minor changes, such as balloons no longer colliding with vehicles, updated cozy campfire visuals, apple and mushroom networking optimisation and a bunch more.
