Far Cry 5 will enjoy a new feature for the series, a map editor with more assets than any of its ancestors. Ubisoft are pouring assets from all of their titles such as Assassin's Creed up to date into Far Cry 5 Arcade.

Ubisoft are giving Far Cry 5 its own little slice of Minecraft where players will be able to recreate many familiar virtual landmarks or produce creations of their own. Far Cry 3's map editor allowed you to create maps for PvP and Far Cry 4's editor gave you the ability to make maps for co-op.

Far Cry 5: Arcade will have both of these incorporated and on top of it, assets from Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Watchdogs, Assassin's Creed Black Flag and unity will be made available for map generation. Across all of these games, Far Cry Arcade will have over 9000 different objects that can be put in the game world. It's literally the number they quoted, not a Dragon Ball Joke.

The maps players create can be used for co-op or if made for PvP, up to 12 players can hop into the madness. I can't help but wonder if there will be functional ships from Assassin's Creed Black Flag that will allow a cannon battle in the middle of a flooded Chicago.

Accessing the Arcade will be as simple as walking up to an arcade machine in the game and changing the game mode. Any progress made in Arcade will be carried over to the single player campaign but Ubisoft have noted there will be precautions set in place in order not to just ''create a level filled with cash and make yourself rich''.

Far Cry Arcade will also receive new assets from the game's planned DLC, as it gets released. Now if the game could load up to 100 player models without your machine having a spontaneous combustion, it would definitely make a battle royale game worth checking out. Far Cry 5 will be released on 27 March 2018.
