Bethesda has been super busy in 2024 with their flow of new content for Starfield, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. After the popularity of the Fallout TV show, players have swarmed back to Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 is currently heading towards the end of Season 16 at the beginning of June. The game will finally get a massive update in June with a new base map expansion called Skyline Valley, which was teased in 2023 alongside the Duel with the Devil content roadmap.
The Skyline Valley expansion has been in beta testing since April 2024. In a recent preview, Fallout 76's Creative Director, Johnathon Rush, shared a thorough update on the upcoming map expansion.
Johnathon Rush shares details on the Upcoming Fallout 76 Skyline Valley update
As the release of the Skyline Valley is fast approaching, Johnathon Rush shared a brief preview of what players can expect from the new map expansion. The expansion is currently going through a beta testing phase in test servers.
Although Atlantic City and Pittsburgh are the first expansions added to Fallout 76, Skyline Valley will become the first official extension of the base map. The new area will be added to the Southern part of the map, and it is based on the Shenandoah Mountain region in West Virginia.
The update will introduce new enemy types new mutated Turkeys and giant robots. Aside from these new enemy types, Skyline Valley will also feature the Lost, who are electrified ghouls. The new Vault 63's overseer is also a member of the Lost which will allow players to either befriend or betray him.
The new area will not be restricted to higher level players, however, Rush urged the players to expect some of degree of challenge while venturing in Skyline Valley. The update will also feature game balancing changes and bug fixes.
