The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn have been acquired by Facebook and will now operate under Facebook's Oculus Studios banner and develop VR content for gamers.
Shortly after the announcement of a partnership with Microsoft, that will bring Mixer to Facebook Gaming, Facebook have also shared confirmed that they have acquired developer Ready at Dawn.
You may remember the team for their gorgeous-looking PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886. Ready at Dawn also worked on Lone Echo, a VR hit which caught Facebook's eye.
"As part of the Oculus Studios team, Ready At Dawn will continue creating memorable, immersive, and innovative VR content for gamers around the world as an independently-operated studio. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the family," it's written in Facebook's statement.
The social media giant say that Ready at Dawn will readily explore a future of rich and immersive original VR content thanks to the latest advancements Facebook's VR tech. The team is currently working on Lone Echo II and have other projects planned but sadly, did not say what exactly they will be working on in the future.
Additionally, Facebook confirmed that the devs will continue to support and iterate on Quest since they already had a successful VR title on the platform.
