Codemasters have released a mouthwatering trailer for the upcoming instalment of their popular racing simulation, F1 2020, where they showed off the Hanoi circuit.
Hanoi Circuit is the second F1 2020 track Codemasters revealed, the first one being Circuit Zandvoort, which we've included below in case you're high-octane appetites awaken after seeing the Hanoi track.
"Designed by the legendary circuit architects Tilke, the 5.613 km long Hanoi Circuit takes inspiration from iconic tracks such as Suzuka, Monaco and Nurburgring. Not only that, but it's designed to encourage plenty of overtaking and racing action, and we can’t wait to get on it virtually", the dev wrote.
Now, we're talking about a freshly designed circuit, whose construction was completed in February this year. It's meant to make its debut in the real-world F1 this year, so it's pretty sweet seeing it ahead of time in F1 2020.
Seasoned fans of F1 should be seeing quite a few familiar features in the trailer, as Hanoi circuit indeed borrows some historically famous features of other iconic tracks. In other words, it's the same F1 experience, just different.
"We're always excited to create new experiences for our players. Hanoi Circuit delivers both thrills and challenges, set against the backdrop of the stunning city skyline", said Lee Mather, the franchise's game director. “Hanoi Circuit is an adrenaline rush with high speeds, long straights and heavy braking zones, but it will punish anyone who doesn't respect the walled sections."
Judging by the two circuits Codemasters showed off thus far, there will be no shortage of breakneck thrills in F1 2020. The game launches on July 10, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
