Epic Games released a video that highlighted the upcoming exclusives of their store. There are eight titles on the list, with Samurai Shodown likely being the biggest among them.
Tim Sweeney has previously stated that his company will not stop with the timed exclusives on PC any time soon. With 23 March 2020 came the store's update regarding these titles, announcing eight of them in total.
The list of Epic Games Store exclusives for 2020 so far is:
- Samurai Shodown
- Totally Reliable Delivery Service
- Dread Nautical
- Among Trees
- Sludge Life
- Industries of Titan
Samurai Shodown is likely the biggest title from the list but then again, it is the only game that was not developed by a smaller indie studio. The game was released on 2019 on consoles and fans have been waiting patiently to see the announcement for PC.
Technically, they could already play the game on PC via Google Stadia but since this is a fighting game, even the tiniest bit of latency could be detrimental. The PC folks will probably be able to have a proper go at it later on in 2020 but the exact release date has not been announced yet.
Diabotical is the second largest one on the list and going Epic exclusive was predicted even before the official announcement , partially because of the not-so-friendly relations between James "2GD" and Valve. On the bright side, the funding GD Studio received from the exclusivity deal helped propel the esports future as it has been announced that Diabotical's first year will have $250,000 set aside for esports.
