Konami finally announced the launch date for eFootball PES 2020's delayed UEFA Euro 2020 DLC, and even though the real tournament has now been delayed, the dev will launch it in June.
We're talking about the DLC that was delayed back in April due to COVID-19, but there will be no delays this time.
"We are pleased to announce that the postponed UEFA EURO 2020 content update will release on June 4, 2020. We apologise once again for the delay and thank you for your continued support of PES 2020", they wrote on the official website.
It definitely sounds strange saying this, but eFootball PES 2020 players and football fans alike have every reason to be excited as the pandemic has in the meantime caused a delay of the actual, real-life tournament.
This leaves Konami's DLC as the only way to play or watch Euro 2020, and the dev's timing couldn't have been more perfect. .
The UEFA Euro 2020 update is free, of course, and features the titular tournament mode as well as licensed UEFA national teams, all 55 of them.
As for the battlegrounds, Wembley Stadium and Saint Petersburg Stadium come as part of the Euro 2020 package, along with the official ball and trophy for the full, authentic experience.
It goes without saying that the UEFA Euro 2020 DLC comes with all the featured players. Last but not least are themed matchdays and team of the tournament.
The ongoing pandemic has made most real-world sports take a day off, which resulted in quite the focus on their gaming counterparts. It will be interesting to see just how many people jump on eFootbal PES 2020's Euro 2020 train, as we have no other alternative at the moment.
