EA's racer Need for Speed: Payback and Dontnod's horror RPG Vampyr are free PlayStation Plus games for the month of October, Sony have officially revealed.

Your library of PlayStation games is about to get bigger for two new games, which are coming for free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. This month, Sony are offering EA's racer Need for Speed: Payback and Dontnod's underrated horror action RPG Vampyr.

Both Need for Speed: Payback and Vampyr will be available on PlayStation Plus starting from Tuesday, October 6, 2020, until Monday, November 2, 2020.

In case you are not familiar with these games, Need for Speed: Payback is the twenty-third instalment in the popular racing series. It's not the latest game since it was followed by Need for Speed Heat, which released last year. The game received mixed receptions from players due to aggressive microtransactions system, which EA pushed hard in their games that year.

Vampyr on the other hand is one of the games you should definitely try if action RPGs are your thing. Vampyr follows the story of Dr Jonathan Reid, who is a newly-turned vampire. Reid is trying to save the city from the deadly flu while fighting his urge to feed on those he is trying to save. A bloody good plot, that one.

Anyway, if you are yet to pick up September's PS Plus games, you can do that before October 5, when Street Fighter V and PUBG will be removed from PS Plus free games offer.
