EA today revealed another EA Sports FC 25 deep dive trailer and this time around, they decided to showcase the game's Rush mode, which replaces the Volta mode from previous instalments.
The Rush is another smaller mode, more precisely, it's a 5v5 mode with some pretty unique features. On paper, it sounds very fun and the gameplay that EA provided today also looked like something I'd at least try.
Rush replaces the classic kickoff with a new Cannon launch which sees players rushing towards the center of a much smaller pitch to get the ball. It also brings in blue cards, instead of the traditional red cards, which only means a temporary suspension of the pitch, not a full sending to the showers.
EA say that Rush will be much quicker and with zero long-term fatigue for the players and a countdown clock that goes to the final whistle to allow for dynamic matches.
On top of this, the mode comes with a Golden Goal rule if the match finishes in a stalemate and the penalties are akin to the MLS penalty system from the 90s where the player would take a ball from the 30-yard line and head towards the keeper to try and beat him.
There are plenty of additional details about EA Sports FC 25's Rush mode that EA provided and you can find them all on the official blog.
