Dying Light 2 Designer, Art Director and Lead Writer Pawel Selinger has left Techland after twenty-two years with the company. At the moment, the reason for the departure is not quite clear.

Eight months ago, Polskigamedev.pl published a story about the troubled development of Dying Light 2 .  Alleged Techland developer anonymously revealed some worrying details about the game but Techland were quick to deny these statements, saying that most of it was lost in translation.

"On that note, the translation of the Techland article floating around is totally inaccurate. While I have your attention, development of Dying Light 2 is moving forward, the game's in good shape (and in good hands), so worry not. It IS coming," Techland spokesperson said at that time.

Despite these reassuring words, many fans are worried that the game is indeed having development issues and these fears will grow after today's news about the departure of Dying Light 2 Designer, Art Director and Lead Writer Pawel Selinger.

According to Selinger's LinkedIn post, he is leaving the company after twenty-two years. Here's the message in full:

"After over twenty-two years, I decided to end my cooperation with Techland. I would like to express my gratitude to the company that has allowed me to develop and fulfill myself for half of my life. Techland, I will always be rooting for you, as well as the great people I have met thanks to you. I wish you that Dying light 2 and subsequent projects will become world hits."

At the moment, we do not know the reason for this decision but more details could be revealed in the upcoming days. We doubt the departure is due to Selinger's finished work since he's been with the company for so long so there's definitely something else that's been the reason for leaving Polish developer.

All in all, this is more bad news for Dying Light fans but don't lose your hope just yet. We're sure Techland are currently working hard to deliver the best possible game despite the delay and everything else that surrounded the development of this title.
