Techland have rolled out an announcement trailer for Dying Light: Hellraid, which launches on July 23, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One crowds.
It's pretty clear that Dying Light: Hellraid casts you off to another realm but the manner in which Techland did is quite hilarious. Namely, the DLC whisks you away elsewhere via an enchanted arcade machine. Insert soul? Well, who would say no to that?
"No one knows where the strange arcade machine came from. One day the residents of the Tower just found it in the basement after an odd power outage. They took it upstairs unaware that their find is a gateway to another realm", the dev wrote.
Dying Light: Hellraid is set to shake up the experience of the base game with a theme from the dev's unreleased first-person fantasy slasher bearing the same name as the DLC.
Players will leave Harran behind and find themselves outmanned and outgunned by servants of hell. The DLC adds a bunch of new enemies, all of them sporting medieval weaponry - axes, hammers and so on.
Dying Light: Hellraid lets you play solo or in co-op, both through demon-infested dungeons of the undead fortress. Revisiting the challenges grants you additional prizes, while improving your Hellraid rank gets you the sort of weapons you can use outside as well.
"To keep the hellish setting consistent, we’ve populated the stronghold with completely new demonic enemies and designed an array of fitting fantasy weapons to slay them with. Hellraid comes with its own progression system and you’ll have to improve your rank to unlock new swords, hammers, and axes", Techland wrote.
