Hotfix 1.1.17.0 is now available for Dune: Awakening, and with it, a host of much-needed bug fixes and backend improvements that both stabilize the game and help the gameplay experience run more smoothly. Hotfix 1.1.17.0 for Dune: Awakening fixes the recent shipwreck bug that was affecting players’ future Deep Desert layouts due to a Kanly setting, along with some missing emotes for certain players, and backend security.
Fixes are now in for a shipwreck that was persisting for certain players’ future Deep Desert layouts due to a Kanly setting. As well as for missing emotes on certain players in public servers. Funcom has also made some backend security improvements with this hotfix. The development team continues to work on game polishing leading up to the full release of Dune: Awakening, so please stay tuned for future updates.
There are several known issues currently with the game that can cause it to crash, have connection and stability problems, and have bugs with various aspects of the UI. The team is investigating and actively working on these issues, and has created workarounds for players in the meantime.

Known Issues
- Crashes and Freezes: If your game freezes or crashes, consult Funcom’s troubleshooting guide.
- Connection Errors: Server connection issues may be resolved by restarting your client and selecting the correct region.
- Ornithopter Missing: Completing the “Searching for Answers” mission may cause your ornithopter to disappear.
- Inventory Visual Loss: Items may temporarily vanish when switching maps but usually reappear after a restart.
- Item Duplication: Exploits related to item duplication are under investigation.
- H74 Error: Disconnection or crash issues while traversing sectors are known; make sure your client is updated.

- UI Bugs: Map marker glitches, Deep Desert visuals, and inventory preview errors.
- Gameplay Problems: Objective markers not aligning with faction contracts, and contract progression issues.
- Vehicle and Combat Bugs: Vehicle animations and combat abilities occasionally behave abnormally.
- Performance Issues: Camera flicker, frame drops, and stability concerns during interactive sequences.
