Dragon Ball FighterZ just got a launch trailer packed with some familiar faces and nostalgia inducing visuals. Android 21's abilities have also been further fleshed out. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is getting some new characters and fresh content.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch soon for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Today, the game got its own launch trailer and we got some news on an ambiguous character that's about to join the fight.
Android 21 has joined the roster of characters you'll get to control once the game lands. The android will, of course, have multiple unique Ultimate Attacks. It will also have a role to play in the events of the Dragon Ball FighterZ's story mode. Are you intrigued?

Android 21 was designed by Akira Toriyama. She is a "mysterious scientist known for having the same knowledge as the Androids creator Dr. Gero". The character's Tasting Cut Ultimate Attack drains the opponent’s energy and gains their attacks. So that should be fun. Her Meteor Ultimate Attack will allow her to shoot out a beam that changes the opponent into a cake. This is my type of a girl. An Android girl. Cake. What?
In other Dragon Ball news, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is getting some new playable characters from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. I sure hope that sentence made a sliver of sense to you. The first new character is Jire. He is a member of the Pride Trooper and the strongest warrior from Universe 11. He enjoys long walks on the beach and home-cooked meals.
Android 17, on the other hand, has a new ability which allows him to absorb attacks as well as a brand new fighting style.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is also getting some free content in the form of a new battle system, new avatar skills and new special costumes for Dragon Ball characters. Limit Burst is one of the new battle systems. It can be used once per battle. The free update will also bring a new avatar Awaken Skill with the "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" (SSGSS). It will transform the players into the infamous "Blue Form".
Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on 26 January, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PlayStation4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
