Battlefield 6, Battlefield or whatever the name of the next game is, was supposed to be revealed this month, but EA and Dice reportedly pushed the reveal to June for unknown reasons. However, it seems that the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase could be one of the reasons for the delayed reveal.
Battlefield is already rumoured to be on Game Pass day one so a reveal at the Xbox show certainly makes sense from the marketing perspective. Looking at yesterday's announcement from Xbox, we have noticed that DICE employees have been replying to the tweet with the "googly eyes" emoji, Twitter's ultimate tool for tweets that are supposed to hint at some exciting but still embargoed stuff.
As you can see, DICE Producer Ben Walke is teasing something. What could that be? Well, officially nothing but as we have already mentioned there's Game Pass rumour, which if true, means Battlefield is certainly on Xbox Games Showcase.
On the other hand, it would not be the first time that EA games are being announced at Xbox shows, so please, don't get excited about anything just yet.
It would be nice to see Battlefield in just a couple of weeks but even if the game is not at the Xbox event, EA Play is coming in July so we won't have to wait too long to finally see what DICE have been working on for the last several years.
