Blizzard have announced that Diablo Immortal will be coming to PC too. The open beta officially starts on June 2, 2022.
Despite the previous confirmation that Diablo Immortal is coming exclusively to mobile devices, both iOS and Android, and won't be released on any other platforms, Blizzard have decided to change their mind and port the game to the PC platform via Battle.net.
In the official release date announcement trailer, Blizzard reveals that Diablo Immortal will be launching on mobile on June 2, 2022, and kick off a PC open beta on the same date.
Blizzard also confirmed that cross-play between PC and mobile is implemented which is always nice to hear. Diablo Immortal is built first and foremost for mobile devices, though, so don't expect a Diablo III-like game in terms of scale and gameplay.
It's been a long journey for Diablo Immortal since that, now iconic, announcement at Blizzcon 2018. Back then, Diablo fans were massively disappointed to hear the news of a mobile game in development, and get nothing on Diablo IV.
Fast forward to today, and Blizzard are talking regularly about Diablo IV and are about to release Diablo Immortal on an additional platform. It's safe to say they've managed to turn the tide in their favour, Blizzard.
You can pre-register to play Diablo Immortal on PC or mobile on the official Diablo website.
