Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 has officially been delayed in response to the protests occurring in the United States. The publisher Activision also postponed Call of Duty: Mobile's next season.
Activision have released an official statement regarding the new, upcoming content for their two titles Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Mobile. The publisher decid3ed to postpone both Modern Warfare's Season 4 and Mobile's Season 7 to later dates.
The decision has been made as a response to the protest occurring in the United States for the past several days. As you may know, major gaming events such as Sony's PlayStation 5 show has also been delayed indefinitely.
Activision did not mention the new release date but you can expect to hear more in the upcoming weeks. Here is the statement in full:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is currently in its third season and should introduce a major change to battle royale map once the Season 4 drops. According to some leaks and data mined files, the entire map could be flooded and the newly introduced bunkers could also play a major part in the change.
Activision are also set to announce new Call of Duty game, which is reportedly titled Black Ops Cold War. However, that might also be delayed due to ongoing protest in the United States.
