According to the latest rumours, Kojima Productions may release an extended version of their adventure title Death Stranding. Apparently, this new edition could feature additional story content.
Hideo Kojima did not talk much about a potential DLC or expansion for his "social strand" game Death Stranding but it seems that some sort of an update could be coming very soon. According to the latest rumours that surfaced on the gaming forum ResetEra, Kojima Productions could release an extended version of Death Stranding in the coming months.
According to user navtra, players who are yet to buy the game should wait a bit more before they buy the game. "If you are interested in Death Stranding but haven't played it yet, it might be worth to wait a lil bit."
When asked whether this means that an extended version of the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, navtra simply replied "Yup".
Additionally, the user clarified that a potential upgrade path to the extended version will probably be a paid one since there's a new story content coming in this version.
As always with these unconfirmed reports, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation from Sony or Kojima Productions.
Interestingly, the ResetEra user does not mention the PC version, which suggests Death Stranding's extended version could be coming only to PlayStation consoles, or, it's just another timed exclusive, just like the original release.
