Bandai Namco have officially confirmed that the upcoming action RPG title, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, will not be coming to Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on January 16, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will see fans of this legendary anime relive the entire DBZ story with Goku - or Kakarot, to be more exact - as the main protagonist.
Covering every single event from the day Raditz arrived to planet Earth, all the way to the Majin Buu saga - this upcoming action RPG title is looking to provide a genuine Dragon Ball Z experience with its semi-open world . One of the game's trailers reveals that the story will even take players back to the days when Goku fought against the evil Piccolo who wanted to rule the world at the time.
The team in charge of the game's development is CyberConnect2 who are famous for their excellent job on the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. With such talent behind DBZ: Kakarot, we think it's a pretty safe bet to say that the game is sure to be all kinds of wonderful, especially for hardcore fans of this iconic anime.
Those eager to dive into this incredible world will not have to wait much longer, as the game's release date is slated for January 16, 2020. PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players already know that the game will most definitely be coming to their platforms, but Nintendo Switch fans have been hoping to hear any sort of official information as to whether DBZ: Kakarot would be coming to their system as well.
Wanting to finally put an end to all the speculation and confusion, we decided to ask Bandai Namco themselves if the game would indeed be releasing for Nintendo's flagship, and the answer we got will probably be disappointing for many, as DBZ: Kakarot will not be coming to Nintendo Switch.
The publisher informed us that the game would only be coming to the three consoles mentioned above - PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Whether Bandai Namco have plans of porting the game to Nintendo Switch somewhere down the line, remains to be seen.
