Gunfire Games obviously aren't content with Darksiders 3 only as they've now announced another title in development, called Remnant: From the Ashes. The trailer teases a game in the ilk of Destiny 2, only done well. So, like Warframe.
Jokes aside, Remnant: From the Ashes is a third person co-op survival game set in post-apocalyptic Earth. The planet is overrun by creatures from another dimension, menacingly called The Root, leaving humans to inhabit destroyed cities "like rats". I guess they weeded us out, right?
Anyway, the game allows for up to four players in co-op multiplayer mode, which should take care of the root of the problem. Gunfire said that Remnant: From the Ashes features "multiple hero archetypes" and exploring the synergies between them should be a game in its own, again much like in similar games.
Right from the get go, Gunfire suggest Remnant: From the Ashes will be grind-oriented. Players will set out of the cities to scavenge resources, so as to ultimately defeat the invaders. Survivors will "traverse dimensions featuring dynamically generated levels".
Every world in Remnant: From the Ashes comes with its own challenges and perks as well, each with a set of monsters unique for that particular location. Exploration will play an important part as well, as Gunfire stated on the website.
As is common for this sort of game, the sweetest part is likely to be the crafting part and Remnant: From the Ashes hopefully won't disappoint in this respect. Cooperating will of course make things easier and striking the right mix of tradesmen under your wing will provide you with skills and resources to upgrade your stuff further.
Gunfire Games' Remnant: From the Ashes launches sometime in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will be published by Perfect World Entertainment.
