Gunfire Games are looking to offer Remnant: From The Ashes players even more content as free DLC, even though the base game itself provides dozens of hours of entertainment. The first DLC drop, the Adventure Mode is just around the corner.
Remnant: From The Ashes is getting its first bit of DLC on 12 September 2019. The content is free of charge and it will introduce the new Adventure Mode. It will allow players to re-roll each of the three existing worlds in order to allow for more random generation and possibly better replayability.
Earth, Rhom and Yaesha can be generated anew and begin at a single World Stone. The adventure will conclude once the World Boss is defeated. Dungeon locations, points of interest, spawns and other variables can be different from those met during the main campaign.
One could probably think this would interfere with their campaign but according to Gunfire, this randomisation will not replace anyone's campaign progress and worlds can be re-rolled freely. To sweeten the deal, players will be able to keep any items or traits found during the random adventures and carry them over to the main campaign.
Exactly one week later, on 19 September 2019, players will be treated to the first dungeon, called Leto's Lab. It will send players to explore the Research Station Alpha, where one particularly important lab is housed. The head of this lab, Leto Apostolakis, is the person who explored the red crystals and managed to unlock the World Stone on Ward 16.
Following this massive breakthrough, humanity started making expeditions to other worlds. After the Root invasion, the lab continued working for several months but the brilliant scientist had already conducted "dubious" experiments so players should expect a few surprises.
The lab was evacuated after a disastrous experiment and the players will now come along to poke in the long-forgotten secrets. They will need "a sharp eye, steady aim, and a little luck" to survive the dungeon but Gunfire didn't offer any info on it, other than the and the fact that it will spawn dynamically on Earth.
