Damwon Gaming's start of the latest season in LCK left a lot to be desired and now the team seems to be making some moves to improve the form. They have signed Jang "Ghost" Yong-jun as a new marksman.

Damwon Gaming signed the former Sandbox Gaming bot laner, Ghost, in an attempt to kick up their odds at performing better in LCK's 2020 season Spring Split.

The team's performance so far has been mediocre, which was not pleasing to fans or the team so far. On 24 February 2020, they announced that a new bot laner joined the roster.

Ghost seems to be the first major step towards attempting to improve the team's performance but it remains to be seen whether the new competition will have a positive effect on the players' cohesion.

Considering that the acquisition happened during an active split, it means Ghost will not be able to play until second round robin kicks off, which should happen on 6 March 2020.

The fans seem to be highly optimistic about Ghost joining the roster as the player is having a great run in solo queue and many considered it to be a waste that Sandbox Gaming didn't use him in a more active role.

Keep in mind that G2 considered Damwon Gaming one of the most dangerous threats to their bid during World Championship 2019, despite the team being just swept away by T1 in the Summer Split playoffs. They seemed to be lost after coach Kim switched to T1 but refreshing the squad may just prove to be the tail wind they needed.
