System specifications for Cyberpunk 2077 demo that was shown behind closed doors have surfaced on the game's official Discord channel and it consisted of a i7 8700K CPU, 32 GB DDR4 RAM, GTX 1080Ti GPU, all of which churned out mere 30 FPS.

As you may have figured out by now, this rig's end is so high that Snoop Dogg would envy it. The sad part is it couldn't produce 60 frames per second. Now, it is unclear what settings the demo was running, meaning it could be either ultra or low. It is also unclear how far along CD Projekt Red are in terms of the game's optimisation.

Alicja, the CD Projekt Red employee who spilled the beans, didn't provide any of the info that could help fans calculate how well their machines could handle Cyberpunk 2077. Our guess is the game is not fully optimised yet, as CD Projekt Red obviously chose not to show it to wider audience but it will also require a monster machine when it does come out.

Or well, a monster machine by today's standards. The game is likely not coming before 2020 and by that time new breakthroughs will likely happen in technology which will provide users with CPUs and GPUs better suited for handling giant monstrosities such as Cyberpunk 2077.

The reason I say it's likely not coming before 2020 is two-fold. First reason is Mike Pondsmith's that he waited for the game for 30 years so players can wait a couple of years more. The second reason is an official answer Kyle Rowley provided when asked whether the demo was actually played or if it was pre-rendered footage.

Rowley stated that it was indeed actual gameplay but the game build had many issues, which eventually caused them to .

According to Patrick Mills, CD Projekt Red are aiming for a release on current generation of consoles, so more optimisation will definitely be in order. This also means that any announcements regarding the date of the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation could be closely tied to Cyberpunk 2077's release date.
