CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is in final stages of development during a financial call and further reaffirmed that there aren't any further launch delays on the horizon.
Cyberpunk 2077 fans were worried that the game would be delayed once again, this time due to work restrictions imposed by Covid-19 but CDPR have not given any hints to such a setback being on the horizon.
The PR team has also memed about the delayed SpaceX launch , with the bravado possibly hinting that development on CP2077 is proceeding as planned. However, there is now a more tangible reason to believe no delays will happen.
During the latest financial report , CDPR noted that the team is "carrying out with the final stage of development of its most expansive RPG to-date: Cyberpunk 2077". In other words, the next step is for the game to go gold after which we can expect distribution. Considering that there are almost four months left until September 17, when the game is coming out, it is safe to assume that CDPR are on track to meet the release date.
If that is not enough to reassure you, the same financial report states that the reported increase in CDPR inventory is due to "manufacturing of components of physical editions of Cyberpunk 2077 (standard and collector's edition), scheduled for release in September 2020".
Still not enough confirmation? Well, under the section which discusses the factors that may affect CD Projekt's future results, there is a mention of CP2077 in a sentence that explicitly states the game is still scheduled for September 17 release.
