Crysis Remastered, a visually upgraded version of the iconic shooter from 2007, is officially launching next month - September 18, 2020. The game will arrive to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Epic Games Store. It looks like the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC for the time being.
To celebrate the release date reveal, Crytek have shared a brand new graphics comparison trailer, which showcases major visual upgrade over the original game. The trailer mentions high-quality textures up to 8K resolution, global illumination, depth fields, new light settings, improved motion blur and ray tracing.
It is safe to say that the game looks much much better than in the first trailer, which disappointed many players. You may remember that Crytek decided do delay the game after the backlash to improve the visuals and it's nice to see that they actually delivered.
What will this huge upgrade mean for the PC system requirements? Well, it's hard to say right now but we fully expect the return of "but can it run Crysis?" phrase, which was born shortly after the original game released in 2007.
In addition to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Crysis Remastered is also on Nintendo Switch and you can play it right now, since it released a couple of weeks ago.
