Heavy is the head that wears the crown, and we may feel the weight even more, soon enough

The Royal Court expansion to Crusader Kings III adds new ways to interact with the characters in your kingdom or empire, as well as major changes to the cultural system of the game, adding greater dynamism and historical fluidity.

This is the biggest expansion Crusader Kings 3 has had since it was launched, and the premise of the expansion is bringing in some much-needed mechanics and options, that will make ruling the nation feel more fleshed out. No longer will you look at your dynasty as mere numbers on a monitor, but as real, living beings, as you will witness and be able to control every interaction they have in their seat of power. Whether you steer them right or wrong among these reefs of social interactions that range from more intricate diplomacy with nobles, to solving peasant issues in a way you deem fit, is up to you.

In the most recent developer diary, the developers have shown us the process of creating the audio for the expansion. They have even given us a snippet of what to expect to hear while playing the game in the future.

However, what the existence of this developer diary suggests is that the work on the expansion has already entered the final stages. Compared to other developer diaries that talked about the core of the expansion, the fact that the focus of this one is the audio means that there is no more new information to be had, and the finishing touches are being made.

This can only mean one thing. The foundation has been set, and all that is left is the esthetics of the expansion itself. While some fans are concerned that the audio will be Europ-centric, as some of it is based on Latin chanting, for example, we, and most of the fans speculating on this on the Paradox forums, are just happy to be able to hope for its soon release. The parts that need to be ironed out can be updated based on player feedback and on the figurative move.
