Stunning sim-racer from Turn 10 Studios will have ray-tracing on track while running at 4K and 60 FPS.
Turn 10 Studios have revealed first details about Forza Motorsport 's performance on Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. In the official Q and A on the Forza website , Turn 10 studios state that Forza Motorsport runs at "4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and on 1080p 60 FPS on Xbox Series S".
Given that the devs also confirmed real-time ray-tracing reflections on track, not just in Forza Vista mode or replies, it's mighty impressive that Forza Motorsport is running at such a high resolution and frame rate.
Ray tracing is very expensive for the GPU at 4K so it will be very interesting to see how Turn 10 Studios managed to pull this one off.
As for Series S, the less powerful version of the new Xbox, well, as expected the resolution will be 1080p while the frame rate is 60 FPS, which is not bad at all.
For the PC version, we expect an unlocked frame rate as well as a full slate of ray-tracing options, given how scalable the PC platform is.
Forza Motorsport is launching in Spring 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
