Turn 10 studios have surprisingly announced playtesting/flighting for their highly anticipated title Forza Motorsport, which suggests the game could be coming sooner than expected.

Forza Motorsport is one of the biggest Xbox exclusives that got revealed at the Games Showcase last year but ever since that trailer, we did not get additional details about the development or when exactly we can expect the game to arrive.

Phil Spencer said Forza Motorsport is early in development at Turn 10 Studios but it seems the team are working pretty fast since they have just announced playtesting for the game, to everyone's surprise. In the latest Forza Monthly update, Creative Director Chris Esaki said that the closed playtest is part of "a new phase" of Turn 10's development, which will allow the studio to develop the game in collaboration with the community.

"The new news is today we will soon be able to share to our people in our Forza panel, they will actually be able to get their hands on a part of our new Forza Motorsport game," Esaki said in the Forza Monthly episode.

An exciting update certainly and if you cannot wait to get your hands on Forza Motorsport, you can apply for the playtest online , for a chance to test the game in the coming months.

Additionally, Esaki said that the team have been running weekly playtests within their Xbox Game Studios and getting a lot of data and valuable feedback on the game's progress and how to fin tune the details to get the racing right for everyone.
