It looks like Codemasters are about to announce their next instalment in their popular racing franchise Dirt. Over at the official website, Codemasters have shared a letter to the Dirt Rally 2.0 community, thanking the fans for their support and announcing the end of the seasonal updates for the game.
Additionally, the devs teased their next projects, which will be revealed pretty soon. A different Codemasters studio is developing one of these new titles, described as a "brand new experience".
"Prepare to see something new roar to life in the world of DiRT, very soon. Developed by a separate Codemasters studio to the DiRT Rally team, we’re incredibly excited about what’s around the corner. We invite you to be part of a brand new experience, while also continuing to enjoy our definitive Rally offering," Codemasters Social Media Manager PJ Tierney wrote in the letter.
As for the future of Dirt Rally series, the developers have big plans to take the series to "even greater heights" but sadly, they are not ready to share additional details about the game just yet.
"Whether it’s our latest game soon to be revealed, or what comes next for Rally, we are incredibly excited to continue making DiRT the franchise for everything we all love about off-road racing," they concluded.
