Austin-based developer Certain Affinity announced that they are deepening their relationship with 343 to work on more Halo Infinite content.

Certain Affinity, a studio that worked on the Halo franchise for many many years and have been helping with the development of the latest instalment Halo Infinite, have announced that their partnership will 343 is set to continue and become even deeper.

In a message that was posted across their social media channels, Certain Affinity announced that they are honoured to be deepening their relationship with 343 Industries and have been tasked with evolving Halo Infinite with new content.

Here's their announcement in full:

"We’ve been part of the Halo franchise for more than 15 years and we’re honored to say we are deepening our relationship with 343 Industries and have been entrusted with further evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways. Join us on our journey."

A report from Jez Corden on Windows Central revealed a couple of months ago that Certain Affinity might be working on a brand new Halo Infinite game mode codenamed Tatanka.

At the moment, it's unclear what exactly Tatanka might be but rumours suggest it could be a battle royale-like mode.

Additionally, Certain Affinity are also working on a new IP for Xbox, which is a Monster Hunter style game, very early in development.

It will probably take a while before we see the official announcement of this one but one this is for certain - Certain Affinity do seem to have a pretty close relationship with Xbox and it wouldn't surprise us if they become another candidate for an acquisition if they deliver with Halo Infinite and their Xbox exclusive.
