Playwing announced that the PlayStation consoles will have to wait a bit longer for Century: Age of Ashes as the devs are taking more time to deliver a proper experience.

Century: Age of Ashes was supposed to launch on PlayStation consoles on July 19, 2022, but just before the day arrived, Playwing announced it would be delayed.

They cited the need for more time in order to deliver a properly polished game to Sony's consoles, which was challenging since going gold on PS4 and PS5 is no easy task when the game and Shadow of the Skeld season were released on Xbox One just one week prior. With that in mind, Xbox Series X received the title back on March 10, 2022, so it's not excluded the different generations of PlayStation might have a staggered release.

As for the new release date, there isn't one in place. Playwing said the team is currently hard at work to debug the PS4 and PS5 versions while maintaining the Xbox One version at the same time. Still, it is the last stretch before release on PlayStation so the devs will have a release date in "a matter of days".

From the wording, it looks like the delay will not be a big one but the devs didn't say it officially just yet. If this is indeed the case, we could be looking at a delay that is as short as a week or two.

We will know for sure in a few days.
