Activision announced on Twitter that the second season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will begin on February 15th. They also mentioned that they will be implementing changes based on feedback from players.

The upcoming second season for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will feature a variety of new content such as new maps for Modern Warfare 2, a new Resurgence/Rebirth map for Warzone 2.0,  new game modes, weapons and a ranked play option, among other things.

Activision announced that the start of Season 2 for Warzone 2 has been pushed back to February 15, 2023. The usual release time for seasonal content is 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT, and it is likely that this will also be the release time for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2's Season 2.

Infinity Ward  confirmed via tweet that they will be making changes to the "Gulag, looting and loadouts" in Warzone 2. This news is likely to be well-received by players as these are areas of the game that have received criticism, and the announcement that changes are coming is significant.

Also, following the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 1 end, some new weapons have leaked. Reportedly, Crossbow and Vepr-12 Shotgun are set to come in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2!

Previous Call of Duty games have included the Crossbow, a weapon that can be a one-shot kill for skilled players, and it has been found in the game files. Players speculate that a semi-automatic Vepr-12 is coming to the game, as it was briefly seen in the game files after Season 1 Reloaded, and it matched the Vepr.
