Call of Duty: Warzone 2 might be getting a new Rebirth map! Even though the Rebirth/Resurgence mode is absent from Warzone 2, developers are reportedly considering Hashima Island as the new Rebirth map.

A Rebirth/Resurgence mode is absent from Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Rebirth Island was the original Warzone's Rebirth/Resurgence mode's first home. It had a faster tempo and more intense action than Verdansk and Caldera maps.

However, Rebirth/Resurgence may return shortly and on a brand-new Hashima Island Warzone map. Hashima Island is said to be the site for the upcoming Warzone Rebirth map, just as Rebirth Island was modeled after the real-life Alcatraz Island.

Hashima Island is a Japanese island located off the coast of Nagasaki. Coal was discovered there in the nineteenth century. It also housed underwater coal miners from the 1880s through the 1970s. Neither Activision nor Infinity Ward  has confirmed that a new Resurgence map is coming to the game.

These rumours started at the end of the last year. There were claims that the new Rebirth map will look just like the Hashima Islands in Japan. But, when Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launched, there was no Rebirth/Resurgence mode.

There has been no formal confirmation that Hashima Island would be included in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. However, there have been several rumours and speculations that the island may be included in the game. We'll have to wait and see if the island appears in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, but for now, we can only guess.

Hashima Island is a real-world site located just off the coast of Japan. It operated as a fortified island in the twentieth century and is very similar to Rebirth Island.

Even if all of this is confirmed, these changes will be coming in 2023. Because everything is still to be confirmed, take these pieces of information and leaks with some reserve and we will update you if anything changes!
