If you needed more proof that the Call of Duty: Warzone launch is imminent, then look no further than its soon-to-be-sibling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, whose Classified tab now displays a convenient little countdown timer.
Now, the Classified tab has been in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for a while now, but this is the first time it's being used as a timer. The exact time the timer is counting down to is Tuesday, 10 March 2020 at 8am PT / 11am ET / 3pm GMT.
By now, there are very few doubters as to what the countdown is referring to, and this actually ties in with the rumours that said Call of Duty: Warzone will be available to CoD: Modern Warfare players, is Warzone, Activision Blizzard's battle royale title.
Other than being packaged with Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone will be released as a standalone version.
We've already been treated to a preview of Call of Duty: Warzone's gameplay, which is somehow still standing. After all, Activision Blizzard's initial legal attempts to stomp out Warzone were pretty fierce, but it could be they too are resigned to the fact it's barely a surprise anymore.
Call of Duty: Warzone is expected to arrive with two game modes, supporting up to 150 players in Solos, Duos and Trios. Also confirmed are plunder stations, which players will use to revive tokens and Killstreaks.
Call of Duty: Warzone apparently has a bunch of vehicle, and from what we've seen - they behave pretty well. Equipping armour can be done with armour plates, hopefully not while you're on the run, and loot seems easily identifiable, which is an often overlooked feature.
