While most certainly not game-breaking, as evidenced by the army of faithful fans making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare one of the most popular CoD instalments to date, the issue has been quite frustrating for some.
Now, Infinity Ward is aware of this, but the adding more custom class slots isn't as simple as it may sound, which is why they still haven't addressed it. However, the solution is coming soon.
Responding to a literal plea on Reddit, the studio's art director Joel Emslie said, "You and everyone else that has commented on this are right. It's in mainline back at the studio and we've been tinkering with it. I'm not sure which update its in but I think it's next. Believe it or not, it can cause horrible bugs if not tested properly."
He stressed that he's not one hundred per cent sure on the timing, so as to not get crucified if the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update doesn't add more slots. What he promised, though, is that he'll bring it up again in Infinity Ward, which is a pretty nice move for a dev that's technically on holiday.
As you can see from , the community is quite appreciative of this as well.
