Infinity Ward and Activision have revealed more about this year's Call of Duty, which is, of course, Modern Warfare 2 and it now has a release date.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release date is October 28, 2022. This was revealed in the trailer that didn't reveal much else as it was mostly focused on the game's artwork.

Technically, the confirmation of Price, Soap, Ghost and Gaz could be counted as new reveals but anyone who followed the game's development or played the Modern Warfare from 2019 pretty much knew they would appear already.

Keep in mind that the characters have progressed differently from their counterparts in the first run of Modern Warfare series and they are involved in a different conflict so the story is not going to go the same way.

Still, Call of Duty main characters die all the time so Gaz, Ghost and Soap are not out of the woods just yet. On the side of good news, for at least one of the three characters, is that Soap looks much better than the clown show Warzone players got a while ago. You can check out his new appearance on one of the four pieces of artwork that were revealed during this stage of the marketing campaign.

Ghost's new looks might be a little off for the fans of the original Modern Warfare as his skull balaclava has now become some impractical piece of costume with materials that look kind of heavy to wear on one's face.

Gaz and Price largely look the same as they did in COD:MW (2019), there is no surprise on that account.
