Activision are sending out mysterious crates to Call of Duty influencers with unboxing embargo set for August 10, 2020, which could be the reveal date for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
We're in the month of August and Activision are yet to officially announce this year's Call of Duty game, which is the longest wait for a Call of Duty announcement ever. Fortunately, it looks like the reveal is imminent after the Season 5 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, where Call of Duty 2020 will be revealed via in-game event.
On top of this, Activision have started to sent out special, mysterious crates to Call of Duty YouTubers and streamers with interesting instructions. The unboxing of the special package has been embargoed until August 10, 2020, 12:00 PM ET.
This could be the official date and time for the reveal of Call of Duty 2020 or Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which is the title of the next game if the rumours and leaks are true.
So if you're looking to participate in the official reveal event, make sure to play Call of Duty Warzone on Monday, when the event could go live. We still do not know what type of surprises await Warzone players during the event but it is safe to say that something big is about to happen, potentially changing the whole map or even introducing a brand new one.
