Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the next title of the Call of Duty franchise. Developed by Treyarch under Microsoft's banner, the newest Call of Duty title is reinventing the game's core mechanics with new innovations such as omni-directional movement.
Aside from the new mechanics, Treyarch has also revealed details about the game's map pool that will be available at launch. The map pool is comprised of new Treyarch maps and classic Call of Duty: Black Ops maps. Here's a look at all the maps that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at launch.
All Maps available at launch in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will feature 16 maps at launch. Out of these 16 maps, 12 of them will be core 6v6 maps and the remaining 4 maps will be Strike maps.
The core 6v6 maps will be exclusively available for all core game modes. However, the strike maps are small in scale and will remain available for both 6v6 and 2v2 game modes.
Here are the current names of the maps:
- Core Maps
- Protocol
- Payback
- Derelict
- Vorkuta
- Vault
- Skyline
- Red Card
- Babylon
- Lowtown
- Subsonic
- Rewind
- Scud
- Nuketown
- Strike Maps
- Warhead
- Pit
- Stakeout
- Gala
The map pool contains a few familiar faces, such as the infamous Nuketown which is a hotspot for casual lobbies and weapon grinding. Aside from that, Radar is a popular Sledgehammer-created map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Vanguard.
The map pool in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 looks interesting considering the new Strike maps becoming a major part of the core game modes. Since the release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), players have been leaning towards small maps as a part of casual lobbies as it allows them level up their weapons and complete mastery challenges without breaking a sweat.
