In case you didn't catch the dev's Inside the Vault post from last week, Bethesda Game Days is scheduled for 28 and 29 February 2020. If you're unable to attend the actual event in Boston, you'll still be able to follow it via Twitch, Mixer, YouTube and Facebook Live from 2:00pm ET.
Moreover, the event will bring CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story Podcast's debut episode, whose preview is certainly promising. Not to mention that it gives off the classic Fallout vibes, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
As for this week's sneak peek at Fallout 76's highly-anticipated expansion, Bethesda wrote, "For the last year, you’ve been working to rebuild America and beat back the Scorched plague with very limited human contact. Now, the time has come to brush up on your Charisma. People are about to return to Appalachia in droves, and you’re going to need to rely on your conversational prowess if you want to get to know your new neighbors."
Historically speaking, touting a dialogue system as a special feature of an RPG is akin to bragging about your book having words in it, but as it turns out, the dev claims that the dialogue system coming with Fallout 76 is more than just that.
In fact, Bethesda insist that Fallout 76: Wastelanders' dialogue can sometimes be mightier than the proverbial sword. Talking to allies, faction leaders or random wayfarers will let you forge lasting alliances, provide more variety in achieving goals and build your reputation with the Settlers or the Raiders.
Many existing Fallout 76 NPC characters have been retrofitted with dialogue options and certain individual characteristics will unlock unique dialogue options, which may earn you anything from a weapon to making some missions easier.
Your conversations will be tracked with a new History option, so that you can always check what you said to whom. And unlike in real life, this feature won't render honesty obsolete.
