Bethesda just posted their Inside the Vault blog and Fallout 76 fans have a lot to look forward to next week, starting with the update 17.5, a double XP event, CHAD: a Fallout 76 Story Podcast and Bethesda Game Days, with Wastelanders preview panel included.

If you're looking forward to attending Bethesda Game Days, they're slated for 28 and 29 February 2020, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm at Laugh Boston & M.J. O'Connor's. It goes without saying that you'll get to try out Fallout 76: Wastelanders, but the related panels will be streamed online for those of you/us that don't make it.

Fallout 76: Wastelanders panel is set for 28 February at 2:00pm ET, where you'll get to see Bethesda's team showing Wastelanders gameplay and hear about their insight into the development process. You can even submit your own question if there's something particular you'd like to know about.

Fallout 76, Patch 17.5

Back to the Fallout 76 content - next Thursday, 25 February 2020, the game is getting the 17.5 patch, but Bethesda warned it will be a bit slimmer than usual, not unlike the January patch. " Once we’ve released Wastelanders we will return to rolling out patches regularly that include new content, improvements, and fixes through the rest of this year, and beyond", they wrote.

Double XP Event, Date and Time

Adventure Mode, Nuclear Winter or a Private World - it doesn't matter what's your flavour, as Bethesa is throwing a double-XP event for everyone. The times are as follows:

  • Start: 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, February 27
  • End: 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, March 2

CHAD: A Fallout Podcast

Bethesda announced this one earlier and it looks as it will be well worth checking out.

"What began with a series of journal entries of his adventures in Appalachia has become a popular dark humor serial podcast enjoyed by almost 65,000 people since May of 2019. Created by Kenneth Vigue, this now full cast audio production is a unique hybrid of vintage radio drama and cinematic soundscapes with laugh out loud humor. Quirky, irreverent and highly relatable, most of the cast will be performing a brand new Appalachian adventure at Bethesda Game Days on Saturday, February 29th at 3:30pm ET", the dev wrote.
