Battlefield 6 is one of the most anticipated games of 2025. The October 10, 2025 release has generated huge hype, with industry experts estimating sales of 5 million copies in its first week.
The recent beta exceeded expectations, overshadowing even the Black Ops 7 early testing. New information from EA reveals console performance and post-launch details.
Battlefield 6 Console Performance: 120 FPS Confirmed
A leaked email from EA, discovered by MP1ST, confirmed that Battlefield 6 will have both Quality and Performance modes on consoles. In Performance Mode, the game will run at a smooth 120 FPS.
For gamers that want a graphical quality mode, they will also be able to enable it on consoles as well.Another thing that the email also confirmed is that PS5 Pro support will have higher resolution and frame rate options. Battlefield 6 will get all of the Pro upscaling and frame rate benefits as well.
Post-Launch Content: Covert Operations and More
Along with 120 FPS in Performance Mode on consoles, EA has also said that they will provide free content in seasons after launch. While there are no details about the post-launch seasons, EA did confirm that they will have new maps, modes, and weapons.
The other thing that was revealed was that they will be offering something called covert operations. While there’s no info on that, it could mean special missions, time-limited events, or even a new mode.
EA did not go into detail on what the covert operations will be like, but it will be a new thing that Battlefield 6 players can enjoy in the game. The new operations would also be a good way for Dice to keep the game fresh in multiplayer in the years to come.
A Major FPS Release for 2025
With the 120 FPS performance on consoles, improved crossplay, and consistent updates in the works, Battlefield 6 will be a big FPS title for console and PC players in 2025.
Players will not have to wait long until they can experience it as the worldwide launch will be on October 10, 2025.
