Battlefield 6's worldwide launch is on the horizon, with days left before the most-awaited shooter becomes available across all platforms. EA's new shooter will feature the usual multiplayer mode and a full-fledged campaign.
While EA has revealed how the multiplayer works through open beta and Battlefield Labs testing in the last 2 months, we were not shown any campaign-related gameplay or news.
With the recent trailers and gameplay reveal, we finally got our first look at the Battlefield 6 campaign. Unfortunately, EA has stated that the game's campaign will feature less than 10 missions overall, with the total length being around 4-6 hours.
Battlefield 6 will Feature a Very Short Campaign
Battlefield 6's campaign seems to be weaker than the game's multiplayer mode. While the multiplayer mode gained widespread appreciation from players, the campaign seems to have earned no goodwill from players and content creators alike.
After the recent worldwide reveal of the campaign gameplay, the comments and threads on social media platforms were hounded by the unpolished fidelity and absurd NPC behaviour. Adding to the wave of disappointments, it was also revealed that the campaign will be around 4-6 hours in length and will feature less than 10 missions overall. Here are the mission titles:
- Always Faithful
- The Rock
- Operation Gladius
- Night Raid
- No Sleep
- Moving Mountains
- Nile Guard
- Operation Emberstrike
- Always Forward
Although the multiplayer mode was the most-awaited and ultimately will be the most-played game mode in the long run, players also expect the devs to put the same love into the campaign mode.
Battlefield campaigns were always a spectacle, which leads to high player expectations for the current game's story mode. Moreover, the absence of a campaign in Battlefield 2042 has led to players harbouring higher expectations for Battlefield 6's campaign.
Unfortunately, it seems like EA has shifted their complete focus to the multiplayer mode. like all other games out there, which led to less resources or love being put into the campaign. Even though the multiplayer mode will be the most played part of the game, featuring less than 10 missions is not a great first look.
