Back when it launched, Apex Legends was so unexpected, fresh and fun that the community took a while to find something to complain about, and Pathfinder's larger hitbox had the privilege of being among the first. Well, it looks like Weta Workshop heard them.
Granted, Respawn amended that pretty quickly all things considered, so Weta Workshop's miniature is at the same time a symbolic reminder of those days.
We still remember those days quite fondly, and how could we not. Nobody was throwing fits over Wraiths playing to their strengths. Skilled players could rely on the Wingman more than their wingmen, and getting killed by a weapon didn't warrant a Reddit dissertation of why it should be nerfed.
But we digress - Weta Workshop's miniature of Pathfinder took this one step further by reducing the poor un-high-five-able robot's hitbox by a lot, although it does look like he got a bit chubbier in the process.
"From the scientific, un-clumsy geniuses at Weta Workshop comes the mind-boggling Micro Epics. Microscopic marvels that are definitely supposed to look like that, no matter what you've heard", they wrote.
Pathfinder's Micro Epic edition is an articulated figure, i.e. you can switch poses thanks to some interlocking joints. Unfortunately, there's no grappling hook, but we doubt that joke would've landed properly for a miniature and incredibly cute version of Apex Legends' anti-Marvin.
FEATURES:
- Stylised figure
- 4 points of articulation
- Material: PVC
- Dimensions: 2.36” x 1.77” x 0.91” (H x W x D) 60mm x 45mm x 23mm
- Comes in a stackable Perspex box with rotating turntable!
While we still maintain that Respawn Apex Legends charms feature some of the cutest depictions of in-game characters, Weta Workshop are sure giving them a run for their money. Weta did point out that the final product may vary, but we sure hope it doesn't.
