Respawn Entertainment are launching the final limited-time mode (LTM) in September Soiree today, which means Apex Legends players better get their trigger fingers ready.
This means that the eerie silence of the Dummie's Big Day is soon behind us, and we'll welcome the inter-legend chatter of Apex Legends' colourful cast with both hands.
If I've said it once, I've said it a million times - making a story in a battle royale game, which has players caring for characters is impossible. Well, it was, until Respawn rolled up their sleeves and turned the genre on its head.
Anyway, it's time for the final LTM of September Soiree, and Live. Die. Live. is certainly a fitting conclusion to the event. Apex Legends veterans should be familiar with the mode, but here's the skinny for new players.
There's no need for any respawn beacons in Live. Die. Live. - all you need is one of your Apex Legends teammates to keep his head on his shoulders, and we don't mean it figuratively.
Staying alive is the name of the game, and as long as you do - your teammates will respawn on you on the next circle shrink, keeping the fight alive.
Interestingly enough, it's actually a pretty good exercise in battle royale, because many new players prioritise kills over survival. This is easily the most common reason for how seemingly even battles can snowball your team into the ground. So remember - survive first - kill second.
Now, September Soiree may be in its last week but there's a lot happening in Apex Legends land. Respawn will be launching the game on Nintendo Switch and throwing in cross-play as well, and while it looks like they're set for October, take that with a grain of salt until Respawn confirm it.
