After a 0-5 start, KT Rolster fought their way back

In the third day od week 8 in the LCK, we got to see a big upset as KT Rolster took down T1, the team many consider to be the number one title favourites. The biggest surprise was the manner in which they did it, not dropping a single game.

In the first game of the series, both teams opted for a standard team composition with good late game scaling on either side. Teddy got caught overextending at level one, which resulted in first blood in favour of KT Rolster.

The first big team fight happened around the 13th minute and after going back and forth with the engages, both teams walked away without bigger casualties.

KT slowly but surely pilled up their advantages as they took drake after drake, and 20 minutes into the game they had a decent 3K gold lead. T1 tried to fight their way back into the game but both the gold and the dragon lead, together with KT's team fight composition, were simply too much to deal with.

Finally, in the 35th minute, KT Rolster got themselves the Elder Dragon buff which proved to be the final nail in the coffin for the base of T1.

Similar to the first draft, scaling picks were high in priority for both teams in the second game as well. The only intruder was SoHwan's Kennen on the top lane, a champion LCK hasn't seen in a while now.

We didn't see too much action in the early game but KT's small wins over objectives put them in a slight gold lead. That lead got extended as a team fight together with the Rift Herald buff, went in favour of KT around the 15-minute mark.

A couple of uncharacteristic blunders from T1 snowballed the game even further and KT got three consecutive mountain dragons with the Baron buff on top. T1 showed glimpses of hope in a couple of skirmishes, but in the end, it wasn't enough as KT Rolster finished the clean 2-0 upset.
