EA have had a very weird relationship with Nintendo these last few years. Like many publishers, they pretty much abandoned the Wii U a year after its release. FIFA 13 is the only game EA released on the Wii U. Strangely enough though, they still supported the Wii with FIFA 14 and FIFA 15.
But now that the Switch is selling close to Wii numbers again, FIFA is back on a new Nintendo Switch console, but it does not run on the Frostbite engine which powers the games for Xbox One and PS4. So the differences are very much noticeable.
Although the Switch version does run at 60fps in both docked and portable mode, it’s just not the visual treat we were expecting. But don't take our word for it - simply watch our new and see for yourself.
