Xbox is Microsoft's gaming brand, launched in November 2001 with the original Xbox console and the iconic Halo: Combat Evolved — the game that put the platform on the map. The Xbox 360 remains the franchise's commercial peak, shifting around 84 million units and helping to define a generation of online console gaming through Xbox Live.
