The Division 2 will ditch gear score and Field Proficiency caches

The Division 2 has received its Episode 3 content and is soon getting the first expansion, Warlords of New York. The latter will change the endgame and get rid of staples such as gear score and Field Proficiency caches in favour of a new system.

The Division 2 Warlords of New York expansion release date leaked

Massive Entertainment's looter shooter, The Division 2, is heading back to New York City with a whole new expansion on 3 March 2020. Warlords of New York will include revamped progression systems, new level cap, items, skills and more.

The Division 2 recalibration & skill power overhaul detailed

The Division 2's long-awaited recalibration and skill power overhauls are nearing but Episode 3 needs to come out first. However, Massive Entertainment detailed the changes and showed some work in progress images of what we can expect.

The Division 2 armour overhaul aims to trim the grind

Massive Entertainment laid out their plans on reducing the grind and the focus is mostly on preventing players from getting too much gear while most of it is useless. The new system should have fewer drops but they will be much more interesting.

The Division 2's loot boxes are purely cosmetic and also known as Apparel Caches. Legacy Apparel caches were introduced recently and they don't provide duplicate items. As an introduction bonus, you can pick up three of them for no charge.

Massive Entertainment provided some information on the latest State of the Game, such as the new Exotic images and dates for new RNG, UI and recalibration. The release date for The Division 2 - Episode 3 is said to be 29 January 2020 but it's a bit ambiguous.

Survival is one of the game modes fans constantly kept asking Massive Entertainment to bring back in The Division 2 but it appears this is not on the developers' list of priorities or maybe not even on the to-do list at all.

The Division 2 second raid won't come until 2020

Massive Entertainment's launch of The Division 2 went much better than the launch of the first raid, Dark Hours, which prompted them to reevaluate priorities for the second one. As a result, it has been pushed back to 2020 release.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 features a vendor that is somewhat similar to Xur in Destiny 2, with gear and weapons not available anywhere else. To locate her, you will first need to find Snitch, who spawns randomly at preset locations.

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have revealed The Division 2's new specialisation that has a Minigun as a signature weapon. It was accordingly named Gunner and judging by the associated talents it will be on the tanky side of things.

Ubisoft have released another weekly patch for The Division 2 and this time, they've finally fixed the crazy armour exploit that players used in the game's PvP modes. Players who used the exploit will receive a warning on their account.
