The Division 2 has received its Episode 3 content and is soon getting the first expansion, Warlords of New York. The latter will change the endgame and get rid of staples such as gear score and Field Proficiency caches in favour of a new system.

Warlords of New York is releasing on 3 March 2020 for The Division 2. When this paid expansion arrives, it will boost the maximum level to 40 for those who purchase it while those who don't will remain in Washington D.C. Players stuck in D.C. will not have to worry or learn about the new endgame as it pretty much remains the same for them.

However, those who reach level 40 will no longer get Field Proficiency caches or hunt for items with higher gear score. Instead, these players will gain SHD levels upon filling the experience bar up.

These SHD levels will incrementally improve the agents' stats such as weapon damage, critical chance and more. They will be distributed into four main groups with each having four attributes attached to them:

  • Offence
    • Weapon damage
    • Headshot damage
    • Critical hit chance
    • Critical hit damage
  • Defence
    • Armour
    • Health
    • Explosive resistance
    • Hazard resistance
  • Miscellaneous
    • Accuracy
    • Stability
    • Reload speed
    • Ammo capacity
  • Utility
    • Skill haste
    • Skill damage
    • Skill repair
    • Skill duration

Those four will be finite and when agents max them out, they can turn to the Scavenging category which will keep giving them resources each time and is infinite. The available resources are:

  • Credits
  • Steel
  • Ceramics
  • Polycarbonate
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Electronics
  • Titanium
  • Printer Filament

Meanwhile, gear at level 40 will simply be max level gear as there are no more hoops to farm through in New York. Those who still crave to do something after maxing their agent out can op in for the Legendary difficulty which will become available in the three original strongholds.

Ubisoft have revealed The Division 2 gameplay along with the most important info which fans were hoping was and that is the release date for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Ubisoft revealed that sequel is going to launch 15 March 2019.

The two best parts are that it scales with team size so you can still solo it and that the increased difficulty doesn't mean more health and damage to the enemies. They will be more challenging due to improved AI and improved abilities .
