How to get high-quality bow early in the game
The bow we are talking about is called the Frostwyrm Bow, and in order to get it, you'll have to travel all the way to the northern part of the map, to the place called Dive Rock. Dive Rock is located high in the mountains directly north of Cheydinhal—if you cannot locate the place, use our map for reference.
Once you locate Dive Rock, you'll find a journal there. If you read carefully every page, you'll find out about a very grim fate of a couple who set on the journey to find a creature called Uderfrykte, and unprepared as they were, they got eaten by it. Inside the journal, you'll notice the mention of a very powerful bow, so your mission gets clear from that moment on: find the creature, kill it, and obtain the loot from it, including the bow, of course.
Luckily, you won't have to go very far to find the creature. If you look to the left from where you're standing, or directly to the east, to be more precise, you'll notice something moving on the nearby slopes. Uderfrykte has the power of camouflage and is very hard to notice in the snow due to its bluish colour.
Once you see it, equip the bow and start hitting it. The creature will get alerted and run towards you, but if you position yourself on one of the stones, it won't be able to reach you. Spam the arrows into it, and soon it will fall. Loot its body to find the remains of a wife along with the Frostwyrm Bow.
This bow has magical features and deals frost damage to your enemies. Frostwyrm Bow is one of the strongest bows in the game, so acquiring it as soon as possible is of utmost importance if using the bow is part of your playstyle.
