Ubisoft's latest pirate life simulation, Skull and Bones, features minimal collectibles, comprising a few letters and treasure maps. The necessity to complete the game is largely encapsulated in unlocking trophies, which, we can affirm, are relatively straightforward.
Nonetheless, a specific trophy might pose a challenge if you're not well-versed in the required actions. The Poacher trophy, demanding the capture of at least one specimen from each hostile wildlife, falls into this category.
If you find yourself struggling with the Poacher trophy, we have prepared a guide that will not only instruct you on the necessary preparations but also reveal the locations of all the required animals for this achievement.
How to unlock the Poacher trophy/achievement
Initially, it's crucial to understand that the kills won't be counted unless you use a spear, and the only ship allowing spear usage is the initial and least powerful Dhow. Therefore, exercise caution not to engage in conflicts beyond the ship's capability due to its limited strength.
Upon inspecting the map, you'll notice the availability of only three distinct types of animals, yet you need to locate seven for the trophy. This is due to certain animals having multiple species, despite being categorised under the same icon on the map.
These are the animals you need to catch for The Poacher trophy in Skull and Bones:
- Nile Crocodile - Found everywhere in all parts of the map.
- Madcap Crocodile - Located northeast of the Sacred Tree outpost in Red Isle.
- Hammerhead Shark - Found all over the open sea and near the shores.
- Great White Shark - Most commonly found in the Reef Sea between Red Isle and the Coast of Africa.
- Hippopotamus - Spread along the Coast of Africa.
- Bull Hippo - North of La Colonia near the guard tower.
- Alpha Hippo - Inside the river south of Mumali Foundry in the Coast of Africa.
Keep in mind that Madcap Crocodile and Alpha Hippo are very dangerous predators with a lot of health, and your small boat is no match for them, so you must be extra careful when engaging in this hunt. It is highly advisable to upgrade the spear to the max to confront those two formidable animals.
